BGaze Focus

For Parents

Curious how gaze-controlled games can help to improve neurobiological symptoms?

While medication can be effective for some, we understand that parents can often worry about potential side effects and feel limited in exploring other options.

That’s why we developed our app-based games with input from both clinicians and families. Our fun, safe, and engaging games could help to reduce symptoms of ADHD. By using gaming and eye-tracking technology, the games are designed to help improve your attention and focus—turning solutions into play while offering peace of mind.

When can I access?

We’re thrilled to announce that our games will be available very soon! If your child is actively speaking with a clinician, let them know - they can connect with us directly for tailored support.

Our initial launch will includes two exciting gaze-based games:

  • Gaze Slicer: A fast-paced beach themed game where players use gaze tracking to slice through fruit and avoid obstacles
  • Gaze Ski: A water skiing adventure where players use gaze tracking to navigate the river, dodge obstacles, and escape lurking sharks!

At present the only way you'll be able to access the games is via your clinician contacting us, however we will soon have a version of the game available to download yourself. At present the games are available via the below partner clinics.

Through our parent and clinician feedback process, hear what they have to say

"An engaging and interest-led therapeutic tool for many young people who may not otherwise be able to engage in other therapeutic options. There is a clear need for strategies that might improve attention/memory that more traditional psychological models do not address." - Clinician

"Both my son and I have used BGaze Focus to improve our ability to control attention and impulsiveness. We noticed a substantial effect in our daily family and work/school life, and also an improvement in school results. It is not easy to play it well, and like any exercise it is important to stay motivated and dedicate time to it. But the effort is compensated by the results!’ - Father of a 7 year old son with attention control challenges at school

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is BGaze Focus?

BGaze Focus is an innovative self-help app containing games designed to help improve attention, focus, and engagement. The platform combines the latest advancements in eye-tracking technology with evidence-based therapeutic gaming.

How often do I or my child need to use BGaze Focus?

We would recommend a usage of 5-15 minutes, 3-4 times a week over a minimum of 12 weeks to see noticeable improvements in attention and focus.

Is there any exclusion criteria or side effects that I should consider?

BGaze Focus is non-invasive and generally safe for all users. However, children and adults with visual impairments or severe motor control challenges are likely to be unable to use the product.

How do I know if BGaze Focus is right for my child?

The games are specifically designed to help improve reading skills, emotional regulation, executive functioning, attentional control, and engagement. If these are areas where your child struggles, BGaze Focus could be a great fit.

Is BGaze Focus a substitute for medication or therapy?

No - we are not a replacement for medication or therapy. BGaze could be a great complement to medication or existing therapies or as a standalone option where parents have exhausted all other options available to them. BGaze Focus is also a great waiting well initiative resource particularly as the current wait list for diagnosis can be many years.

Can these games be used in a school setting, or are they primarily designed for home or clinical use?

Yes, BGaze Focus is well-suited for educational settings, especially in specialised support classrooms. Teachers can use the games as part of individualised education plans (IEPs) to improve attention and learning outcomes.
