Want to offer patients an at home self-help therapy option?

While medication can be effective for many patients, clinicians often face challenges in addressing concerns about potential side effects and medication cost in managing ADHD.

That’s why we developed our app-based games in collaboration with clinicians and families. Designed as a safe and engaging complement to traditional therapies or standalone self-help options, these games use gaming and eye-tracking technology to target attention and focus. By offering a non-pharmacological tool clinicians can trust, our approach empowers you to expand therapy options and deliver personalised care—all while ensuring parents’ peace of mind.

OUR FEATURES

Self-help digital ADHD games

Accessible

These self-help games were developed to support a wide age range of patients. Patients can conveniently download and engage with them on tablets and smartphones after receiving clinician-provided access.

Encourage Positive Screen Time

Through the use of innovative eye-tracking technology, our games are designed to actively promote consistent participation and foster long-term adherence by incorporating engaging activities that are specifically tailored to capture and maintain attention over time.

Holistic Approach

Providing safe and effective alternatives or self-help complements to medication is increasingly becoming a common and essential request directed toward clinicians, driven by patient preferences, concerns over side effects, and a broader shift toward holistic and integrative approaches to healthcare.

IMPROVED PATIENT ENGAGEMENT

Patients are more likely to stay motivated and engaged as the interactive games feel enjoyable rather than therapeutic, making their experience more enjoyable and effective

CAN BE USED AS SELF-HELP TOOL OR WITH GUIDANCE

Our app can be of value to many of your patients, either new, current or returning, providing an accessible and convenient way to work on symptom reduction. The app can be used with or without professional guidance or as part of a broader therapeutic approach

MINIMAL AND QUICK SETUP

The app is designed for easy use in home environments and between appointments, providing remote support for your patients with little time commitment on your part

Enhancing neurodevelopmental pathways

We work closely with both private clinics and NHS partners to provide BGaze Focus as a digital self-help therapy option. BGaze Focus can add value in a variety of settings:

  • For patients awaiting triage
  • For patients awaiting a medical diagnosis
  • For diagnosed patients who have not yet received medication titration
  • For patients who have undergone titration but haven't seen a difference or struggle with maintaining a consistent routine
  • For patients seeking holistic options as part of their overall approach

Together, we can transform therapeutic services to be more accessible, engaging, and impactful, enhancing the quality of life for those who need them most. By addressing the lengthy ADHD waiting lists with an innovative 'waiting well' solution, we strive to provide meaningful support to individuals and their families.

Through our parent and clinician feedback process, hear what they have to say

"An engaging and interest-led therapeutic tool for many young people who may not otherwise be able to engage in other therapeutic options. There is a clear need for strategies that might improve attention/memory that more traditional psychological models do not address." - Clinician

"Both my son and I have used BGaze Focus to improve our ability to control attention and impulsiveness. We noticed a substantial effect in our daily family and work/school life, and also an improvement in school results. It is not easy to play it well, and like any exercise it is important to stay motivated and dedicate time to it. But the effort is compensated by the results!’ - Father of a 7 year old son with attention control challenges at school

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is BGaze Focus?

BGaze Focus is an innovative self-help app containing two games designed to help improve attention, focus, and engagement. The platform combines the latest advancements in eye-tracking technology with evidence-based therapeutic gaming.

How often does my patient need to use BGaze Focus?

We would recommend a usage of 5-15 minutes, 3-4 times a week over a minimum of 12 weeks to see noticeable improvements in attention and focus.

Is there any exclusion criteria or side effects that I should consider?

BGaze Focus is non-invasive and generally safe for all users. However, children or adults with visual impairments or severe motor control challenges are likely to be unable to use the product.

We have a “Challenge” calibration feature for all users to do prior to using the games consistently to test whether their eyes are picked up by the camera effectively. Prolonged screen time should be managed to avoid eye strain. Breaks are recommended every 30 minutes.

Is BGaze Focus a substitute for medication or therapy?

No - we are not a replacement for medication or therapy. BGaze could be a great complement to medication or existing therapies or as a standalone option where parents have exhausted all other options available to them. BGaze Focus is also a great waiting well initiative resource particularly as the current wait list for diagnosis can be many years.

Can BGaze Focus be used outside of therapy sessions?

Absolutely! Our games are designed for use in both clinical settings and at home. Clinicians can recommend the games as homework or practice, enabling patients to reinforce the skills learned during sessions. The platform will soon support clinician monitoring to track progress and encourage consistent use.

What clinical evidence is there for gaze-based games in the holistic treatment of ADHD?

Current research into gaze-controlled gaming for ADHD therapy has highlighted several key findings including enhanced attentional control networks after just 6 weeks of consistent use, enhancing working memory, positive impact on self-regulation and visual-spatial awareness in children aged 6-15.

Scientific studies have also demonstrated that gaze-controlled games can improve reading, emotional regulation, neural responses, ADHD symptoms and learning in schools. Please see a full list of relevant papers and material related to eye-tracking here.
